Telerama.com ISP recieves "overwhelming demand"
for Linux support
Telerama Public Internet Access a began supporting Linux
by telephone well over a year ago. The reason: Overwhelming Demand. The
Pittsburgh,
Pa. company has been providing Internet access since 1991 when the
internet as we
know it (and Linux for that matter) was just getting started. Telerama
was
formed by two young entrepreneurs who "wanted to get in on the ground
floor
of an amazing information and communications resource" according to the
company's website. This company appears to be showing the same type of
foresight
by being ahead of the curve in reaching out to their Linux customers.
Telerama
also states on their website that Linux is "taking the computer world
by storm".
After visiting telerama.com L.I.F.E. discovered that
Telerama also supports Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP, Mac OS 7 and up, OS
X, BE OS and many flavors of Unix. The site also has a java based chat
room on
their website full of helpers at 4:30 am that were more than happy to
answer
our questions about their service.
With this type of commitment to service, L.I.F.E.
gives Telerama a well earned salute and strongly recommends Telerama to
anyone in
the Pittsburgh area. Watch for Telerama in your area as we are sure
that they
will grow.
